The Authority constantly and consistently as a matter of policy trains and re-trains all cadres of its staff both locally and internationally.
The Management of the Authority places high priority on issues pertaining welfare of its staff. It is the belief of the management that for effective performance , the welfare of the staff must necessarily be made a priority.
To realize this objective, a staff welfare unit was put in place. Apart from liaising with the staff and management on welfare-related matters, the unit also makes suggestions and recommendations to the management on staff welfare issues which enables management to take appropriate decisions.
Welfare facilities now available to the staff includes;
- Staff canteen.
- Hosting of healthcare / HIV seminars to educate staff.
- Provision of sporting / recreational facilities e.g. football field.
A Nursery / Primary school has also been established to cater for the educational needs of staff children and kids from the immediate community of the Authority.
The United Staff Multi-purpose Cooperative Society Ltd. which was formed by the staff of the Authority in year 2004 has grown to the membership strength of 250. The members and non-members have at various times benefited from the thrift savings and loans facilities of the society.
